Julie MasonJulie has been a member of Wyndham Rotary for twenty-seven years, serving as Club President in 2000-2001. She enjoyed leadership roles at Rotary District level that included District Governor in the years 2015/16.
She spent several years as District Chair Learning and Leadership Development, three years as Assistant Public Image Coordinator for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and is now Assistant Regional Coordinator for the Rotary Foundation.
Julie has just retired after spending over fifty years as a teacher and educational leader in state education.
Julie was awarded Victorian Primary Principal of the Year in 2005.
Actively involved in local government committees for many years Julie was Wyndham Citizen of the Year in 2006 and received an Order of Australia, AM, in January 2019.


 

Mrinali Raizada Mishra

Rin is a CPA with a professional background in Banking and Finance, spanning across Small Business relationship management and business development to Product Management for

business deposit and commercial lending products.

A passionate feminist, she strongly advocates for equity across genders. Having experienced the devasting impact of family violence through a professional lens and

also at a personal level in childhood, she believes that only through early education and intervention can we achieve a society where genders are equal, women and girls feel safe,

and dispel toxic masculinity.

Rin has been a moderator and an MC in many elite events aiming to work towards the betterment of women. She has been on board of NFP organisations since a very young age inspiring youth.


Monica Sharma Raizada

An educator by profession with over 20 years of experience. For more than 8 years has been engaged in community service actively helping multicultural communities particularly family violence victims committed to resolving from the start to finish helping the victims proactively.

Besides helping and successfully supporting more than 250 victims of family violence on 1:1 basis, has been assisting in developing projects and resources for the family violence victims. Has been organising family harmony/wellbeing days to guide, assist and educate community against domestic violence, being invited in forums and gatherings as a guest speaker to educate and inspire others. Through Ramon Helps Inc and its proactive volunteers have been running various events like International Women’s Day to highlight the Family Violence menace and helping and working towards women empowerment, organising blood donation camp through Red Cross becoming their Red 25 member.

Helped in production of a movie The Hidden Truth (THT) on family violence as well as acted in the movie playing the same role in the movie as she is doing in real life to help family violence victims.

Has been recognised by VMC by honouring her with Meritorious Award for Serving the Multicultural Community at a colourful ceremony on 3 December 2015 at Governor House and excellence award for Innovative Service to the community to Women of Wyndham in 2016.


Maria Meilak

Maria Meilak is the Treasurer of Multicultural Women of the World (MWoW) and Women of Wyndham (WoW). She holds an Associate Diploma in Business Studies – Taxation and serves as the General Manager of a business in the West, where she oversees all administrative operations, financial budgeting and planning, human resources, and marketing.

With over 20 years of experience in Drug Education, Maria has been actively involved in initiatives such as Drug-Free World, Youth for Human Rights, Clean Up Australia Programs, and Betterment Programs. She has also contributed to the Citizens Commission on Human Rights, advocating for dignity in the mental health sector. Her work extends to Interfaith Networks, where she has coordinated Places of Worship Tours in the Western Suburbs.

Maria’s greatest passion is helping others, embodying the words of Mother Teresa of Calcutta: “A life not lived for others is not a life.” She looks forward to continuing her work in the community, believing that together, people can heal the world with the love in their hearts.


Ritu Bhatia

Ritu Bhatia is a Lead Educator in Early Childhood with over 12 years of experience and holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics from India. She is also a small business owner specialising in home and bath products.

The core values on which Multicultural Women of the World (MWoW) is founded inspired Ritu to join the team, as she has always been passionate about helping others in any way possible. Since becoming a part of MWoW, she has had the privilege of meeting and working alongside women from diverse cultures and backgrounds, all sharing the same vision of creating a more harmonious world.

Ritu is honoured to serve as the Vice President of Women of Wyndham (WoW). The organisation’s vision, values, and philosophy on women’s empowerment motivate her to support her community and uplift individuals in meaningful ways.
